Stampin' Up! Convention is a time to learn all about the new products and to get some great inspiration for the upcoming year!  It's also a time to connect with my Stampin' Up! friends and to swap fablous ideas!

My Digital Studio - coming sometime later in 2009

Digital Scrapbooking

This was my favorite announcement at Leadership...

Sometime this year, Stampin' Up! will release our own digital scrapbooking software--My Digital Studio. This software is much more than a scrapbooking solution--you'll be able to create digital projects beyond scrapbooks.

At the heart of this new product is our own exclusive artwork, some of the highest-quality artwork in the market. That alone will differentiate us from competitive products. Initially, My Digital Studio will feature several thousand of our images and a selection of Stampin' Up! colors. It will only get better as we move forward! New items will become available as the product is updated on a regular basis.

We were given an awesome demonstration of some of the aspects of what this software is capable of and I can assure you that it is something to get TOTALLY excited about! It is very user-friendly which will make it an easy program to use.

There aren't any details available yet, but as soon as I know something, I'll get the information out to you! Watch for more information in the coming months.

There were some incredible demonstrations of new product at the Leadership Conference. Here are ideas that were posted on boards for us to take photos of. I've cut the photos in half, so some of the items may be cropped. I'm sorry about that, but it was the quickest way for me to get these samples up for you to enjoy and hopefully they will send a little inspiration your way!

Today, we're going to focus on the Manhattan style WATCH. This style combines fine lines, smooth contours, and classic textures. I find it to be a wonderfully refreshing style. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Style Watch - Sweet Bella

I'm currently in Kansas City, Missouri on a business trip with my hubby. We had my business trip last week in Florida (he came with me), now I'm along on his trip. It's nice now that the kids are all grown, we can enjoy these types of trips. So, while he's working, I'm working on the photos that I took at the SU! Leadership Conference from a lovely hotel.  I'm sure I'll venture out to do a little shopping with the Plaza only a few blocks away, but it's bitter cold out right now, so I'll just work for a while! 

Those of you familiar with our catalog, are aware of the beautiful style WATCH pages full of gorgeous examples in the current trends. There are three style WATCH designs featured in the new catalog. They include: Manhattan, Retro Fresh, and Sweet Bella. These are samples that fall under the Sweet Bella style WATCH. The stamp set Friends 24/7 that I won at Leadership falls under this category, so once I get home to my stamp room, you can be expecting some more fun ideas.

Leadership Comes to a Close

It's been a great few days, but Leadership has sadly come to a close.

Here is a small sampling of some of the great cards that I've seen while here. I'll be posting more over the next several days.

Manager's Meeting at Universal Studios

All that I can say is that last night was AWESOME!  Stampin' Up! had Marvel Super Hero Island of Universal Studios all to ourselves.  They literally rolled out the red carpet for us!  We had an incredible buffet of delicious food served in the streets. My wonderful husband, Stan, came with me and we had a blast!  We rode the Hulk Roller Coaster.  Picture this...it was pitch black outside, we were sitting in the front, and we were the ONLY ones on the roller coaster!  It was SO AWESOME!

We stood in line for nearly 2 hours to get our characature done, but it turns out it was worth it!  How cute is this?

They even decorated Marvel Super Hero Island for us!

There were bad, creepy guys; here's one of them...

When the evening was over and we were about to board the bus, they gave us a FABULOUS gift.  I've added the lanyard and Super Hero Pass, because they are just too cute to leave out.  We got this awesome stamp set in this fun Spiderman lunchbox!

New Sizzix Products for the Big Shot!

Today was check-in day for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference. We got the new catalog and it's WONDERFUL!  Here is what it looks like.

If you've been reading my blog over the past 6-months, you know how much I LOVE my Big Shot!  We now have even more awesome products for the Big Shot!  Here is a sample of what they will look like.

The solid pieces of cs are actually embossed with our new "texturz plates"!  If you click on the photo, you may see some of the detail.

I'm off to Sunny Orlando for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference!

It's been a little on the cold side here in Colorado, so I'm thrilled to be heading to Orlando today! The conference doesn't start until Wednesday, but I am heading down for a little rest and relaxation with my hubby.

I got a new camera (Canon EOS Rebel XSi) the day before Thanksgiving and I have so much to learn. So far, I've just been shooting away on automatic. My dad got me an awesome book, so I'm hoping to learn some cool things once I have time to sit by the pool and read. :) (Thanks Dad!) There will certainly be plenty for me to take photos of on this trip, so hopefully, I'll have some great shots for you, as well as some awesome stamping ideas.

While attending the Stampin' Up! Convention, my dear friend, Patti, brought jewelry pouches to Gail and me that were made by her lovely daughter, Jessica. Patti and Jessica know what a HUGE Brighton Collectibles fan that I am. At Leadership Conference (last January), Patti noticed that I needed something to pack my jewelry in for traveling, so look what Jessica came up with! Thanks so much Jessica...and it's even my FAVORITE color! I LOVE IT!!!!

Home from the SU! Leadership Conference!

Well, I'm finally home from the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference in Palm Springs, California!  What a wonderful time we had!  We had our annual Manager's Meeting and this time SU! took us to a Polo Club to watch an exhibition polo match.  We had SO much fun!  Here's a photo of me with one of the beautiful horses (the guy riding him wasn't too bad either).  By the way - this was the team that we were routing for and we won!

After the Polo Match, we were seated under heated tents. I use the word "heated" lightly.  It was darn cold that night! When we got to our tables, we were so excited to find these awesome gifts waiting for us! I've been eyeing this set ever since I received my new catalog.  I call it the "David Cassidy" set!  It reminds me  so much of the Partridge Family and....David Cassidy.  He was my true love (or so I thought) at the age of 13. My aunt purchased a life-size poster of him for my birthday and I was sure that I was going to marry him.  Well, I'm glad that didn't happen!  True love was waiting for me in (of all places) Montana where I found my soul mate and married him at the ripe old age of 18.  Twenty-six years later, he's still my dream date! I'm one lucky girl!

The actual conference was wonderful!  I was finally able to talk about stamping samples for the display boards at the conference.  For the past few days, I've been showing you many of them.  I have a few more posts and that will sum up everything that I made.  I hope you've been enjoying them!  Until we stamp again ~ Lauri!

SU! Convention 2007 - Denver, CO

The Stampin' Up! Convention was held in Denver, Coloado this year!  Woo Hoo!  After all of the SU! events that I've traveled to over the past 11 years, it was so nice to only have to travel one hour to arrive.  We had a pajama stamp party the first night we arrived and made these fantabulous projects!  Can you imagine it...over 5,000 women walking around in downtown Denver in their pajamas?  It was quite a sight!  Here are a few of the items that we stamped.
